1. What Tripec® is and what it is used for?
Tripec® is a combination preparation of three active ingredients namely Guaifenesin, Pseudoephedrine Hydrochloride and Triprolidine Hydrochloride.
Tripec® is indicated for the symptomatic relief of productive cough associated with allergic rhinitis & nasal congestion.

2. Before you take Tripec®
Do not take this medicine and tell your doctor if:

Hypersensitivity to any component of this product, cardiovascular disease including hypertension, lower respiratory symptoms including asthma.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding
Pseudoephedrine, Triprolidine and Guaifenesin have been in widespread use without any report of ill-consequences during pregnancy. But cautions should be exercised by balancing the potential benefit of treatment to the mother against any possible hazards to the developing foetus.

3. How to take Tripec®?
Always use Tripec® exactly as your doctor has told you. You should check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

How much to take?
Adult and Children over 12 years: 2 teaspoonful thrice daily.
Usual Children’s Dosage:
Children aged 6-12 years: 1 teaspoonful thrice daily.
Children aged 2-5 years: 1/2 teaspoonful thrice daily or as directed by the physician.

If you forget to take Tripec®
If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember it. However, if it is nearly time for the next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.

4. Possible side effects
Side effects of Tripec® includes-
CNS depression or excitation, drowsiness (reported most frequently), sleep disturbances, hallucinations (rarely reported), skin rashes with or without irritation, tachycardia, dryness of mouth, nose and throat have occasionally been reported.

5. How to store Tripec®?
Store below 25° C, protected from light. Do not refrigerate.
