1. What Prudex® is and what it is used for?
Prudex® is a prescription medicine & this is a combined preparation of dextromethorphan, pseudoephedrine and triprolidine.
Prudex® is indicated for the symptomatic relief of dry cough associated with allergic rhinitis & nasal congestion.

2. Before you take Prudex®
Do not take this medicine and tell your doctor if:

Hypersensitivity to any component of this product.

Taking other medicines
Concomitant use of this drug with other sympathomimetic agents such as decongestants, tricyclic antidepressants, appetite suppressants and amphetamine like psychostimulants or with monoamine oxidase inhibitors, which interfere with the catabolism of sympathomimetic amines, may occasionally cause rise in blood pressure.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding
Although dextromethorphan, pseudoephedrine and triprolidine have been in widespread use for many years without apparent ill consequence, there are no specific data for their use during pregnancy. Caution should therefore be exercised by balancing the potential benefit of treatment to the mother against any possible hazards to the development of fetus.

3. How to take Prudex®?
Always use Prudex® exactly as your doctor has told you. You should check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

How much to take?
Adults & Children over 12 years: 2 teaspoonful three times daily.
Children: 6-12 years: 1 teaspoonful three times daily.
Children: 2-5 years: 1/2 teaspoonful three times daily or as recommended by the physician.

If you forget to take Prudex®
If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember it. However, if it is nearly time for the next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.

If you stop taking Prudex®
Do not stop taking this medicine without talking to your doctor. You should not stop taking Prudex® just because you feel better. If you have any further questions on the use of this product, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

4. Possible side effects
Like all medicines, Prudex® can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Side effects of Prudex® appear to be rare and may include dizziness, gastro-intestinal disturbances, anxiety, restlessness, tremor, insomnia, confusion, irritability & sedation.

5. How to store Prudex®?
Store in a cool & dry place, away from children.
