What is Xidolac® Meltab ?
Xidolac® Meltab, a mouth dissolving tablet contains Ketorolac Tromethamine USP 10 mg. Ketorolac Tromethamine is a drug of pyrrolo-pyrrole group of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It inhibits synthesis of prostaglandin and may be considered as a peripherally acting analgesic. The biological activity of Ketorolac Tromethamine is associated with the S-form. Pharmacokinetic property of Ketorolac Tromethamine is linear. It is highly protein bound and is largely metabolized in liver. The products of metabolism and some unchanged drugs are excreted in the urine.

What it is used for and how should it administer?
Xidolac®Meltab is indicated for the short-term management of moderate to moderately severe acute pain that requires analgesia at the opioid level (usually in a postoperative setting).
It is administered orally every 4-6 hours (elderly, every 6-8 hours) for 10 mg or maximum 40 mg daily; maximum duration of treatment is 7 days.

Precautions and Warnings:
Xidolac®Meltab is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to NSAIDs and any of the components to Ketorolac Tromethamine. Moreover, the patient with the history of asthma, nasal polyp, angioedema, peptic ulcer and bleeding disorder are contraindicated for this drug.

Use in Pregnancy & Lactation:
Xidolac®Meltab is contraindicated in pregnancy and lactation. It is not recommended for children below 16 years of age.

How Xidolac® Meltab is supplied?
Xidolac®Meltab Tablet: Box containing 20 tablets in blister packs. Each mouth dissolving tablet contains Ketorolac Tromethamine USP 10 mg.
