What is Traneta®?
Traneta® is a preparation of Linagliptin 5 mg tablet, used for the treatment of Type-2 diabetes. It is a unique DPP-4 inhibitor which acts non-renal excretion pathway. As a result no dose adjustment is required and no regular kidney screening is required for dose adjustment decision.

What are the indications of Traneta®?
Linagliptin is a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

What are the dosage & administration of Traneta®?
The recommended dose of Traneta® is 5 mg once daily. It can be taken with or without food.

What are the contraindications/precautions of Traneta®?
Hypersensitivity to the active substances or to any of the excipients of Traneta®.
There have been reports of acute pancreatitis, including fatal pancreatitis. If pancreatitis is suspected, promptly discontinue Traneta®.

What are the common side effects of Traneta®?
The most common side effects (>5%) are nasopharyngitis.

How supplied / Storage of Traneta®?
Traneta® tablet: Box containing 10 tablets in Alu-Alu form pack. Each film coated tablet contains Linagliptin INN 5 mg.
