1. What Rostil® is and what it is used for?
Rostil® is prescription medicine in the class of proton pump inhibitors. It is indicated for symptomatic relief of Irritable Bowel Syndrome

2. Before you take Rostil®
Do not take this medicine and tell your doctor if:

Rostil® is contraindicated in hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation. Do not take this medicine if the above applies to you. If you are not sure, talk to your doctor before taking Rostil®.

Take special care with Rostil®
Check with your doctor before taking this medicine if:

Severe hepatic or renal impairment; cardiac disorders

Taking other medicines
Not Known

Pregnancy and breast-feeding
Mebeverine is not recommended during pregnancy. There are no or limited amounts of data from the use of mebeverine in pregnant women.

3. How to take Rostil®?
Use Rostil® as directed by your doctor. Check the label on the medicine for exact dosing instructions.
The coated tablets should be swallowed with a sufficient amount of water. They should not be chewed because of the unpleasant taste.

How much to take?
One tablet three times a day, preferably 20 minutes before meals.

If you take more Rostil® than you should
If you have too much of this medicine, talk to your doctor straight away.

If you forget to take Rostil®
If one or more doses are missed, the patient should continue with the next dose as prescribed; the missed dose(s) should not be taken in addition to the regular dose.

If you stop taking Rostil®
Do not stop taking this medicine without talking to your doctor. You should not stop taking Rostil® just because you feel better. This is because the problem may come back or get worse again.
If you have any further questions on the use of this product, ask your doctor

4. Possible side effects
Like all medicines, Rostil® can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Rostil® may sometimes cause GI disturbances, dizziness, headache, insomnia, anorexia, decreased heart rate, hypersensitivity reactions.

Tell your doctor if any of the side effects gets serious or lasts longer than a few days, or if you notice any side effects not listed in this leaflet

5. How to store Rostil®?
Keep this medicine out of the reach and sight of children.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the carton and blister after EXP. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
