1. What is Odycin® D?
Odycin® D (Moxifloxacin Hydrochloride 0.5% + Dexamethasone 0.1% Eye Drop) is a combination of fourth generation fluoroquinolone Moxifloxacin and a potent corticosteroid Dexmethasone.

2. How does Odycin® D work in our body?
Moxifloxacin controls infection by inhibiting the DNA gyrase & Topoisomerase IV. Dexamethasone effectively controls the inflammation by inhibiting the release of inflammatory mediators.

3. What is the indication of Odycin® D?
Prophylaxis & Treatment of postoperative ocular infections with inflammation and Treatment of general ocular infections associated with inflammation.

4. What are the dosage & administration of Odycin® D?
Prevention of Post-Surgery Ocular Inflammation and Infection: 1 drop, 4 times/day in the eye to be operated, starting 1 day before the surgery and 15 consecutive days after the surgery.
Treatment of Ocular Infections Caused by Susceptible Organisms: 1 drop 4 times/day for 7 days, or as directed by the doctor.
For Cataract Surgery: Instill the solution immediately after the surgery. 1 drop, 4 times/day, for 15 days.
For Refractive Surgery by LASIK: Instill the solution with 15 min after the surgery. 1 drop, 4 times/day, for 15 days

5. What are the contraindications of Odycin® D?
Hypersensitivity to quinolones. Epithelial herpes simplex keratitis (dendritic keratitis), vaccinia, varicella & other viral diseases of cornea & conjunctiva. Mycobacterial infection of the eye. Fungal diseases of ocular structures. Glaucoma & diseases causing thinning of cornea or sclera.

6. What are the adverse effects of Odycin® D?
Moxifloxacin: Decreased visual acuity in conjunctivitis, dry eye, keratitis, Ocular discomfort, hyperemia, pain, Subconjunctival hemorrhage and tearing.
Dexamethasone: Visual acuity & field defects, cataract formation, secondary ocular infection following suppression of host response & perforation of the globe.

7. What would be the storage condition of Odycin® D?
Store in a cool place, below 30°C, protected from light. Once the container is opened the contents must be used within 28 days and may be stored at room temperature up to 30°C. Discard after the 28 days. Keep out of reach of children.
