Presenation:

Neobion Tablet: Each tablet contains Thiamine Nitrate (Vitamin B1) BP 100 mg, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B6) BP 200 mg & Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12) BP 200 mcg.
Neobion Injection: Each 3 ml ampoule contains Thiamine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B1) BP 100 mg, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B6) BP 100 mg & Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12) BP 1000 mcg.

Indications:

Chronic pains like sciatica, lumbago, trigeminal neuralgia, facial paralysis, optic neuritis as well as neuropathy & cardiac complications. Besides these, deficiency exists of relevant vitamins.

Dosage & Administration:

Neobion Tablet: 1-2 tablets three times daily.
Neobion Injection: In severe cases, 1 ampoule daily until the acute symptoms subsides. For milder cases & follow up therapy 2 or 3 should be injected weekly.

Contrainidications:

It should not be used in patients on levodopa therapy.

Warning & Precautions:

This combination (Vitamin B1+B6+B12) should be avoided in case of hypersensitivity to thiamine, cobalt or any other component of these ingredients. Cyanocobalamin should not be given before a diagnosis has been fully established because of the masking symptoms of subacute degeneration of the spinal cord.

Side effects:

Very rarely hypersensitive reaction and sensitivity disturbance may occur.

Drug interaction:

Pyridoxine (Vitamin B6) reduces therapeutic effect of levodopa but it does not occur if a dopa decarboxylase inhibitor is also given. Neomycin, chloramphenicol, aminosalisylic acid & histamine H2 receptor may reduce Vitamin B12 absorption.

Use in special groups:

Use in pregnancy: No risks have become known associated with the use of this drug during pregnancy at the recommended dosage.
Use in lactation: It is not known whether thiamine (Vitamin B1) is excreted in breast milk or not, but may be taken cautiously during lactation. Vitamin B6 & B12 have no adverse effect during lactation.
Use in children: Not suitable for the treatment of children below the age 14 years due to the high content of active ingredients.

Packing:

Neobion Tablet: Each box contains 60’s tablets in blister pack.
Neobion Injection: Each box contains 10’s ampoules.
