Therapeutic Group : Hypertonic Solution


Presentation:

NCL Sterile Eye Drops: Each ml solution contains Sodium Chloride BP 50 mg.

Indications:

NCL Eye Drops is indicated for the temporary relief of corneal edema. It may also be used during eye exams.

Dosage & Administration:

Instill 1 drop in the affected eye (s) every 3 or 4 hours or as directed by a physician.

Contrainidications:

Contraindicated in patients who develop allergic reactions to this medicine.

Warning & Precautions:

Precaution should be taken if patients have history of eye problems or allergies.

Side effects:

Vision may be temporarily blurred for a period after applying the drops. Burning or irritation of the eye may occur temporarily when first applied. Other side effects are redness, pain, swelling in or around the eyes, sensitivity to light, and headache.

Use in special groups:

Use in pregnancy & lactation: As with any medication, this should be used cautiously during pregnancy or while breast-feeding.

Use in children: Although there is no specific information comparing use of hypertonic sodium chloride in children with use in other age groups, this medicine is not expected to cause different side effects or problems in children than it does in adults.

Use in elderly patients: There is no specific information comparing use of hypertonic sodium chloride in the elderly with use in other age groups.

NCL Eye Drops: Each plastic dropper bottle contains 5 ml sterile eye drops.
