HIF-PH inhibitor: Daprodustat INN

Indication

Ckemia is indicated for the treatment of anemia due to chronic kidney disease (CKD) in adults who have been receiving dialysis for at least four months.

Preparation

Ckemia 2 Tablet: Each film-coated tablet contains 2 mg Daprodustat INN.

Ckemia 4 Tablet: Each film-coated tablet contains 4 mg Daprodustat INN.

Contraindication

Daprodustat is contraindicated in patients receiving a strong CYP2C8 inhibitor such as Gemfibrozil & with uncontrolled hypertension.

Dosage & Administration

Starting dose of Ckemia for adults receiving dialysis for at least 4 months with anemia due to chronic kidney disease and not receiving an erythropoiesis-stimulating agent.

Side Effect

Increased risk of heart attack, stroke, and blood clots.

Drug Interaction

CYP2C8 inhibitors (Gemfibrozil, Clopidogrel), CYP2C8 inducers (Rifampin).

Store below 30 ºC. Protect from light and moisture. Keep all medicines out of the reach of children.
