Cardocal^® is a preparation of Cilnidipine which is a calcium channel blocker.

2. How does Cardocal^® work in our body?
Cardocal^® binds to the L-type voltage dependent calcium channel and inhibits Calcium ion influx resulting vascular muscle relaxation.

3. What are the indications of Cardocal^®?
Cardocal^® is indicated for the hypertension and hypertensive associated vascular disorders.

4. What is the dosage & administration of Cardocal^®?
Adult dose: 5 mg to 10 mg once daily after breakfast. If needed the dosage can be increased up to 20 mg once daily.

5. What are the contraindications of Cardocal^®?
Cardocal^® can interact with aldesleukin, quinidine, phenytoin, rifampicin, erythromycin, other hypertensive drugs, and anti-psychotic drugs.

6. What are the adverse effects of Cardocal^®?
The most common side effects of Cardocal^® are fatigue, ankle swelling, sleepiness, flushing, hypotension, headache, nausea, dizziness, palpitation, edema, and abdominal pain.

7. What would be the storage condition of Cardocal^®?
Do not store above 30^°C. Do not refrigerate or freeze. Keep in a dry place. Protect from light & keep out of the reach of children.
