Norfloxacin 10%

Composition:

Benaflox N Vet Oral Liquid

Each ml contains Norfloxacin BP 100 mg.

Indication:

Benaflox N vet oral liquid is highly effective in the treatment of uncomplicated and complicated urinary tract infections, gastrointestinal tract infection, mastitis, salmonellosis, respiratory infections including enzootic pneumonia in cattle and poultry. It is also used as part of selective digestive tract decontamination in intestinal diseases. 

Dosage & Administration:

Oral administration via the drinking water. Medicate continuously for the period concerned. Benaflox N vet oral liquid can be used with chickens, turkeys, ducks, guinea fowl, quail and other poultry as well as exotic birds. 

For prevention:

1 ml Benaflox N vet oral Liquid per 2 liters of drinking water for 3-5 days

For Treatment:

1 ml Benaflox N vet oral Liquid per 1 liter of drinking water for 3-5 days

In case of salmonellosis the duration of the treatment may be prolonged til 5-6 days.

Or, as prescribed by the Registered Veterinary Doctor

Contraindication:

  • Hypersensitivity to norfloxacin.
  • Do not used for animals with impaired renal function and liver.
  • Benaflox N vet oral liquid is not recommended to use in combination with Tetracyclines, Macrolides and Chloramphenicol drug.
  • Do not administer in cases with reported resistance to Quinolones. 

Side effect:

High doses can cause nephrotoxicity and crystalluria.

Withdrawal period:

Meat and Egg of treated animal should not be used for human consumption up to 4 days after treatment.

Storage:

Protect from light, store in a cool & dry place and keep out of reach of children.
