1. What is BALOXA®?
Baloxa® is an antiviral polymerase endonuclease inhibitor. The active component of Baloxa® is baloxavir marboxil.
2. How BALOXA® works in our body?
Baloxavir marboxil is a prodrug that is converted by hydrolysis to baloxavir, the active form that exerts anti-influenza virus activity. Baloxavir inhibits the endonuclease activity of the polymerase acidic (PA) protein, an influenza virus-specific enzyme in the viral RNA polymerase complex required for viral gene transcription, resulting in inhibition of influenza virus replication.
3. What is the indication of BALOXA®?
It is indicated for the treatment of acute uncomplicated influenza in patients 12 years of age and older.
4. What are the dosage & administration of BALOXA®?
Take a single dose of Baloxa® orally within 48 hours of symptom onset with or without food. The dose of Baloxa® depends on weight.

5. What are the contraindications of BALOXA®?
Baloxa® is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to baloxavir marboxil or any of its ingredients.
6. What are the adverse effects of BALOXA®?
Adverse events reported in at least 1% of adult and adolescent subjects treated with Baloxa® included diarrhea (3%), bronchitis (3%), nausea (2%), sinusitis (2%) and headache (1%).
7. What would be the storage condition of BALOXA®?
Do not store above 30° C. Keep in a dry place. Protect from light & keep out of the reach of children.
