Therapeutic Group : Antihaemorrhoidal

Presentation:

Ariproct Ointment: Each gram ointment contains Cinchocaine Hydrochloride BP 5 mg, Hydrocortisone BP 5 mg, Neomycin Sulphate BP 10 mg and Esculin Ph. Gr. 10 mg.
Ariproct Suppository: Each suppository contains Cinchocaine Hydrochloride BP 5 mg, Hydrocortisone BP 5 mg, Neomycin Sulphate BP 10 mg and Esculin Ph. Gr. 10 mg.

Indications:

Ariproct is indicated for-
1.Internal and external hemorrhoids
2.Post-partum hemorrhoidal condition
3.Anal pruritus, peri-anal eczema, anal fissures and proctitis
4.Post-hemorrhoidectomy application to relieve pain and discomfort

Dosage & Administration:

Ointment: A small quantity of the ointment should be applied with finger in the painful pruritic area in the morning and evening and after each stool. For deep application, applicator should be attached to the tube and the tube should be squeezed gently from the lower end.

Suppository: One suppository in the morning and one in the evening, and one after each stool.

Contrainidications:

Contraindicated in patients hypersensitive to any component of the product.

Warning & Precautions:

Continuous long-term treatment should be avoided.

Side effects:

Burning upon instillation may occur in some patients.

Use in special groups:

Use in special group: Use in pregnancy: The safe use of topical corticosteroids during pregnancy has not been fully established.
Use in children: Not recommended for children.

Packing:

Ariproct Ointment: Each pack has a tube containing 15 g of ointment with an applicator.
Ariproct Suppository: Each box contains 10 suppositories in PVC / PE strip pack.
