Skin Cleanser
Description
1. For Pre-operative Surgical Hand Disinfection:
ï½ Wet hands and forearms under running water
ï½ Scrub for 1 minute with about 5 ml of SANISCRUB and a wet brush, paying close attention to the nails,
ï½ cuticles, and inter-digital spaces
ï½ Clean the fingernails with a brush or scraper
ï½ Rinse thoroughly
ï½ Wash for an additional 2 minutes with 5 ml of SANISCRUB and rinse under running water
ï½ Dry thoroughly
2. Pre-operative skin preparation of patients:
ï½ Apply product liberally to the surgical site and swab for at least two minutes and dry with a sterile towel
ï½ Repeat the procedure for additional two minutes and dry with a sterile towel
3. Skin wound and general skin cleansing:
Thoroughly rinse the area to be cleaned with water. Apply the minimum amount of product necessary to cover the skin or wound area and wash gently. Rinse again thoroughly.
4. For antiseptic handwashing on the ward:
ï½ Wet the hands and forearms, apply 5 ml of SANISCRUB and wash for 2 minutes.
ï½ Rinse thoroughly and dry.
5. For preventing patient’s infection before operation:
Wash the whole of your body in the bath or the shower on the day before the operation and the day of the operation. Use the following method:
ï½ U se 25 ml of SANISCRUB as a soap solution.
ï½ Wash the whole body. Start with the face. Work down the body. Pay special attention to the
ï½ skin around the nose, under the arms, around the belly button, between the legs and around
ï½ the bottom
ï½ Rinse the whole body
ï½ Repeat the wash. Use the same amount of SANISCRUB. This time, wash the hair as well
ï½ Rinse the whole body and dry thoroughly with a clean towel
