Presentation
Nispore sterile eye drops: Each ml contains Fluconazole USP 3 mg.
Description
Nispore eye drop is a topical ophthalmic solution containing Fluconazole (a bis-triazole derivative) having established therapeutic activity against superficial ocular fungal infections. Fluconazole is fungistatic in action. The drug inhibits cytochrome P-450 14-alfa demethylase in susceptible fungi which leads to alteration of cellular membrane resulting in increased membrane permeability, leakage of essential elements and impaired uptake of precursor molecules to DNA.
Indications
For the treatment of fungal corneal ulcers/ keratitis.
Dosage & Administration
1 – 2 drops to be instilled into the affected eye 5 times daily.
Side Effects
This drug is generally well tolerated. Eosinophillia has been reported in some patients.
Use in Pregnancy & Lactation
No adequate and well-controlled studies are established in pregnant women. Nispore eye drop should be used during pregnancy only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus.
Drug Interaction
Fluconazole can alter pharmacokinetics of certain drugs undergoing hepatic metabolism.
Over Dose
No cases of overdose have been reported.

Keep out of the reach of children
Store in a cool, dry place, away from heat and direct light
Do not use more than 4 weeks after opening the bottle
