Levamisole + Triclabendazole
Composition:
Each Bolus contains,
Levamisole HCl BP eq. to Levamisole 600 mg
Triclabendazole INN 900 mg
Indication:
Levatrim vet bolus is a highly effective flukicide & nematicide. All types of fasciolosis i.e. acute, sub-acute and chronic caused by Fasciola hepatica and Fasciola gigantica can be effectively treated. Major ruminant parasites of the stomach and intestine viz Haemonchus & Ostertagia of the abomasum, Cooperia, Trichostrongylus & Bunostomum of the small intestine, Oesophagostomum & Trichuris of the large intestine as well as the Dictyocaulus spp. of the lungs are satisfactorily removed by this broad spectrum anthelmintic.
Dosage & Administration:
Levatrim vet bolus can be administered orally at the dosage rate of 19.5 mg per kg body weight or One bolus per 41-75kg body weight. Levatrim vet bolus is to be administered directly into the mouth of the animals, either by dissolving the bolus in water and given as direct or by mixing with any feed (with molasses, or by wrapping the bolus in a banana leaf) and feeding it to the animal. Adequate fluid intake is to be maintained after therapy.

Contraindication:
Levatrim vet bolus is not contra-indicated to any disease condition or during treatment with other drugs.
Side effects:
Levatrim vet bolus has no side effects.
Safety index:
Levatrim vet bolus is well tolerated by the animals. Triclabendazole is the safest flukicide discovered so far, with safety index of about 16 times and the safety factor of Levamisole is about 3 times than the recommended dosages.
Withdrawal Time:
Meat: 28 days, Milk: 10 days
