Therapeutic Group : Sterile Eye Drops


Presentation:

Drylief Sterile Eye Drops: Each ml contains Carboxymethylcellulose Sodium USP 10 mg.
Preservative: Sodium Perborate BP 0.01%.

Pharmacology:

Drylief contains Carboxymethylcellulose Sodium which acts as an ocular lubricant. It provides lubricating and hydrating protective shield on the ocular surface.

Indications:

Drylief is indicated for use as a lubricant in dry eye (keratoconjunctivitis sicca) including temporary relief of burning, irritation, and/or discomfort due to dryness of the eye.

Dosage & Administration:

Instill one or two drops in the affected eye(s) as needed.

Contrainidications:

Contraindicated in patients who are hypersensitive to any of the components of this preparation.

Side effects:

Transient visual disturbance and eye discharge may occur.

Use in special groups:

Use in pregnancy: There are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. Carboxymethylcellulose eye drops should be used during pregnancy only if the potential benefits justify the potential risk to the fetus. Use in lactation: There are no adequate and well-controlled studies in lactating women. Caution should be exercised when Carboxymethylcellulose eye drops is administered to a nursing mother. Use in children: No information available. Use in elderly patients: No information available.
