Diflu Eye Drop (Fluconazole)
Therapeutic Group : Antifungal
Presentation:
Diflu Sterile Eye Drops: Each ml contains Fluconazole USP 3 mg.
Indications:
Diflu Sterile Eye Drops is indicated for the treatment of fungal corneal ulcers/keratitis.
Dosage & Administration:
Instill 1drop to be instilled into the affected eye(s) 5 times daily.
Contrainidications:
The drug is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to azoles. Side effects: The drug is generally well tolerated. Eosinophillia has been reported in some patients.
Warning & Precautions:
Use of fluconazole may result in overgrowth of non-susceptible strains of candida other than C. albicans.
Use in special groups:
Use in pregnancy: Pregnancy category C. There are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. Fluconazole should be used during pregnancy only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus.
Use in lactation: Nursing mother should not be given as the drug is excreted in breast milk in concentration similar to plasma.
Use in children: Safety and efficacy of fluconazole in children younger than 13 years have not been established.

Diflu Sterile Eye Drops: Each plastic dropper bottle contains 5 ml sterile eye drops.
