Tilmicosin USP as Tilmicosin phosphate

Bentil Vet Oral Liquid

Composition:

Each ml solution contains Tilmicosin USP 0.25 gm.

Indication:

Bentil vet oral liquid is indicated for the control and treatment of respiratory infections associated with tilmicosin-susceptible micro-organisms such as Mycoplasma spp, Pasteurella 

multocida and Mannheimia haemolytica in calves, chickens and turkeys 

Dosage & Administration:

For oral administration: 

Poultry: 3 ml per 10 litres of drinking water for 3-5 days.

Calves: 1 ml per 20 kg body weight via milk twice daily for 3 – 5 days

Or, as prescribed by the Registered Veterinary Doctor.

Contraindication:

  • Hypersensitivity or resistance to tilmicosin. 
  • Concurrent administration of other macrolides or lincosamides. 
  • Administration to animals with an active microbial digestion or to Equine or Caprine species. 
  •  Administration to poultry producing eggs for human consumption or to animals intended for breeding purposes. 
  • During pregnancy and lactation, use only after a risk/benefit assessment by a Veterinarian.

Side effect:

Occasionally, a transient reduction in water or milk intake has been observed upon treatment with tilmicosin

Withdrawal period:

For meat:  Broilers: 12 days, Turkeys: 19 days.

Storage:

Protect from light, store in a cool & dry place and keep out of reach of children.
