GYNAECOLOGICAL » ANTI-PROGESTERONE & PROSTAGLANDIN ANALOGUE

INDICATION

This medication is used to regularize menstruation up to 70 days of gestation from the last menstrual period.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

200 mg of Freston (Mifepristone) (i.e. 1 tablet) in a single oral dose, followed 24 to 48 hours later by the administration of the prostaglandin analogue Miptol (Misoprostol) 800 mcg (i.e. 4 tablets) buccally (between cheek & gum) under strict medical supervision.

OR AS DIRECTED BY THE PHYSICIAN.

COMPOSITION

Each carton contains 2 blister strips.

Freston strip: Each carton contains 1 tablet of Mifepristone USP 200 mg in blister strip.

Miptol strip: Each carton contains 4 tablets of Misoprostol BP 200 mcg in blister strip.
