Atorvastatin

INDICATION
Liptor is indicated as an adjunct to diet to reduce elevated total-C, LDL-C, apo B, and TG levels and to increase HDL-C in patients with primary hypercholesterolemia (heterozygous familial and nonfamilial) and mixed dyslipidemia.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
Usually 10 mg once daily; if necessary, may be increased at intervals of at least 4 weeks to max. 80 mg once daily; Child 10 – 17 years usually 10 mg once daily.
Familial hypercholesterolaemia : Initially 10 mg daily, increased at intervals of at least 4 weeks to 40 mg once daily; if necessary, further increased to max. 80 mg once daily;
Child 10 – 17 years up to 20 mg once daily.
COMPOSITION
Liptor 10 : Atorvastatin Calcium 10 mg.
Liptor 20 : Atorvastatin Calcium 10 mg.
Liptor 40 : Atorvastatin Calcium 40 mg.
