1. What is Azmasol® Plus HFA Inhaler?
Azmasol® Plus HFA Inhaler is a combination of Salbutamol 90 mcg & Budesonide 80 mcg, to be used as- needed as a rescue inhaler in people 18 years of age and older to treat or prevent symptoms of asthma and help prevent sudden severe asthma attacks or exacerbations.
2. How Azmasol® Plus HFA Inhaler works in our body?
Azmasol® Plus works in two ways to control asthma exacerbations.
- Salbutamol activates Beta-2 receptor and relaxes smooth muscles in airways
- Budesonide reduces inflammatory gene expression & inflammation
3. What is the indication of Azmasol® Plus HFA Inhaler?
Immediate relief from bronchoconstriction and airway inflammation.
4. What is the dosage & administration of Azmasol® Plus HFA Inhaler?
Azmasol® Plus can be taken as 2 inhalations (puffs) as needed.
- Not more than 12 inhalations/12 puff in a 24-hour period
5. What are the contraindications of Azmasol® Plus HFA Inhaler?
Azmasol® Plus HFA Inhaler is contraindicated if there is hypersensitivity to albuterol, budesonide, or to any of the excipients.
6. What are the adverse effects of Azmasol® Plus HFA Inhaler?
Most common adverse reactions of Azmasol® Plus HFA Inhaler are headache, oral candidiasis, cough & dysphonia.
7. What would be the storage condition of Azmasol® Plus HFA Inhaler?
The storage conditions of Azmasol® Plus HFA Inhaler are-
- Do not store above 30°C. Do not refrigerate or freeze. Keep in a dry place. Protect from light & keep out of the reach of children
- Store Azmasol® Plus HFA Inhaler in the unopened foil pouch and only open when ready for use
- Do not put a hole in the canister
- Do not use or store near heat or a flame. Temperatures above 120ºF (49ºC) may cause the canister to burst
- Do not throw the canister into a fire or an incinerator
