What is Lesovir-C®?
Lesovir-C® is a fixed-dose combination of ledipasvir and sofosbuvir used to treat chronic hepatitis C genotype 1or genotype 4 infection in adults. It is not known if the combination is safe and effective in children under 18 years of age.
What are the indications of Lesovir-C®?
Lesovir-C® is indicated for the treatment of chronic hepatitis C (CHC) genotype 1 or genotype 4 infection in adults.
What are the dosage & administration of Lesovir-C®?
Lesovir-C® is a two-drug fixed-dose combination product that contains 90 mg of ledipasvir and 400 mg of sofosbuvir in a single tablet. The recommended dosage is one tablet taken orally once daily with or without food.

Note: 8 weeks can be considered in treatment-naive patients without cirrhosis who have pretreatment HCV RNA
It is also noteworthy that treatment with Lesovir-C® does not need interferon; which is needed in some treatment cases with sofosbuvir alone. This means that patients don′t have to use needles for interferon administration on daily basis.
What are the contraindications/precautions of Lesovir-C®?
Hypersensitivity to the active substances or to any of the excipients of Lesovir-C.
Co-administration with rosuvastatin, amiodarone or St. John’s wort.
What are the common side effects of Lesovir-C®?
The common side effects of Lesovir-C® include fatigue, headache, nausea, diarrhea, and insomnia.
How supplied / storage of Lesovir-C®?
Lesovir-C® Tablet: Each bottle contains 7 tablets. Each film coated tablet contains Ledipasvir INN 90 mg & Sofosbuvir INN 400 mg.
Store at a cool & dry place, away from light. Keep out of reach of children.
