Presentation
Parakil vet Injection: Each ml injection contains Ivermectin BP 10 mg.
Description
Ivermectin is derivatives of Avermectins, a family of potent broad-spectrum anthelmintic. Ivermectin binds selectively with high affinity to glutamate-gated chloride ion channels results in the permeability of the cell membrane to chloride ions with hyperpolarization of the nerve or muscle cell, causing paralysis and death of the parasite. It is reliable, long-lasting parasite controller of cattle for effective treatment and control of internal and external parasitic infections and for protecting animals from re-infection.
Indications
Ivermectin injection is indicated for the treatment, control and protect animal from re-infection of the following parasites-
Gastrointestinal Roundworms (adult and fourth-stage larvae): Ostertagiaostertagi, Haemonchusplacei, Trichostrongylusaxei, T. colubriformis, Cooperiaoncophora, C. punctata, C. pectinata, Oesophagostomumradiatum, Bunostomumphlebotomum, Nematodirushelvetianus (adults only) & N. spathiger (adults only).
Lungworms (adults and fourth-stage larvae): Dictyocaulus viviparous
Grubs (parasitic stages): Hypodermabovis& H. lineatum
Sucking Lice: Linognathusvituli, Haematopinuseurysternus&Solenopotescapillatus
Mites (scabies): Psoroptesovis (syn. P. communis var. bovis) &Sarcoptesscabiei var. bovis
Dosage & Administration
Ivermectin injection is indicated for the treatment, control and protect animal from re-infection of the following parasites-

Side Effects
Ivermectin is well tolerated at recomended dose. However, a low incidence of soft tissue swelling at the injection site may be observed. These reactions will disappear without any treatment within 30 min-1 hour.
Precautions
This product should not be used in intravenous or intramuscular route.
Use in Pregnancy & Lactation
Ivermectin is safe in pregnant and lactating animal.
Drug Interaction
Barbiturates (such as Phenobarbital, Butalbital), benzodiazepines (such as Clonazepam, Diazepam, Lorazepam), Sodium Oxybate (GHB) and Valproic acid have drug interactions with Ivermectin injection. In that case caution should be applied before using with upper mentioned drugs.
Over Dose
Ivermectin is 10 times safe in ruminants and dogs. However, hives, tingling of feet, weakness, loss of coordination, stomach pain, vomiting, diarrhea, difficult breathing may be reported.
Withdrawal Period
Meat: 21 days & Milk: 28 days.
Storage
Do not store above 30°C, avoid freezing. Store the vial in the carton to protect from light. Keep out of the reach of children.
