Presentation

Preneed-CI capsule: Each capsule contains -Carbonyl Iron INN 51 mg, Folic Acid BP 0.5 mg and Zinc USP 22.5 mg.

Description

Preneed-CI is a special preparation of Carbonyl Iron, Folic Acid and Zinc.

Indications

Preneed-CI is indicated for the treatment and prophylaxis of Iron, Folic Acid and Zinc deficiency. It is indicated for use in improving the nutritional status of women prior to conception, throughout pregnancy, and in the postnatal period for both lactating and nonlactating mothers.

Dosage & Administration

One capsule daily. In more severe cases, 2 capsules a day may be required or as directed by the physician.

Side Effects

Generally well tolerated. However, a few allergic reactions may be seen.

Precautions

Care should be taken in patients who may develop iron overload, such as those with haemochromatosis, haemolytic anemia or red cell aplasia. Iron chelates with tetracycline and absorption may be impaired.

Use in Pregnancy & Lactation

Recommended.

Storage

Store in a dry place below 25°C. Protect from light.
